Larry Joe Ward, age 71, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, January 14, 2017, in Salt Springs, FL.

Larry grew up in west Texas, attended Monahans High School, married, and began providing for his family by working in the oil field. Larry’s loved ones will remember him as an avid fisherman who loved a good fish fry and get together which of course always included music. His dry sense of humor and quick wit kept everyone laughing. No one will forget his tendency to dive headfirst into new hobbies. They will all remember the building log splitter phase, the making sausage and beef jerky phase, the canning, and all the wood working projects.

Larry is survived by his sons, Stephen and his wife Tina, of Bossier City, LA; 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter, and James “Mike” and his wife Cheryl, of Murphy TX; 2 granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ward, of Salt Springs, FL.
